CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHOLOGY SERVICES (CAPS)
At CAPS we provide assessment, treatment and counselling that is designed to improve the wellbeing, performance and overall functioning of children and adolescents as well as support for adults working with young people.
CAPS provides the following specialised services –
Counselling; Assessing, treating and counselling in a way that is designed to improve the wellbeing, performance and functioning of young people. For example interventions in, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, stress management, grief and loss, life transitions, anger management and panic attacks.
Educational Assessments; Assessment of your child can involve either or both cognitive and educational testing in order to understand his or her abilities and areas where she or he may experience difficulties.
Cogmed Working Memory Training; is an evidence based program that helps children, adolescents and adults improve attention by training their working memory.
Autism Assessments; providing assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, this assessment is a comprehensive process which will provide an accurate picture of a child’s functioning and will be used to recommend appropriate interventions.
Skype Counselling, for young Australians in the security of their own home; who are unable to travel to a psychologist’s office.
Each individual has their own set of personal strengths and challenges, we focus on building on the strengths while assisting the young person with effective ways to manage and overcome their specific challenges. In a nutshell our interventions promote positive change!

M Psych (Ed & Dev) and she is a member of Member of Australian Psychological Society (MAPS)
